Cheap Hotels in Covent Garden London

Cheap Hotels in Covent Garden London
What to see:
The heart of the neighbourhood is Covent Garden itself, a huge former fruit-and-vegetable market, which is now packed with boutiques, restaurants and cafés. Nearby you’ll find St Paul’s Church (known as ‘The Actors’ Church’), the lavish Royal Opera House, the London Transport Museum, which is great fun for families, and Christopher Wren’s Theatre Royal on Drury Lane.

Local vibe:
The narrow streets around Covent Garden are packed with shoppers and tourists by day, and with opera- and theatre-goers at night. Neal Street is a great destination for original fashion and one-off boutiques, while Long Acre is a good bet for the major chains. There’s plenty of street entertainment, including buskers, tango-dancers, and opera-singers.

Practicalities:
Covent Garden Underground station is on the Piccadilly Line; nearby stations include Leicester Square and Charing Cross. By bus, it’s within walking distance from the Strand.
